Speaking of, looking at it this isn't a passage at all, not anymore. Look, it's a chamber! Hard to get a gauge on the total size of it with what little light you have, but it is definitely big enough for there to be total darkness. You look around.
Tables. Lots of paper. Faded words. Some artifacts, looks like an idol of some guy with a walking stick? Hard to see anything in this dark. Some writing on the wall, hard to read: "After NowoN was 16 years old, he became the godfather of Shem, ham, and Japheth the Postman. And every one of those sons would build their own ark to get away from their godfather's wickedness.." Looks to be some pots and stuff. Probably filled with ashes. These are probably burial urns. Whatever civilization was here, well, they certainly aren't anymore. Well. That was kind of obvious, wasn't it?
By scanning the chamber, you find a passage continues into darker depths. Ooh, spooky!
